Know Your Rights (Pakistani Labor Laws)
Minimum Wage Protection
Every worker in Pakistan has the right to the statutory minimum wage set by the provincial governments. No employer can pay below this fixed monthly rate for full-time work.
Working Hours & Overtime
Standard working hours are limited to 9 hours a day or 48 hours a week. Any work done beyond these limits must be compensated with double the ordinary rate of pay as overtime.
Right to Form a Union
Under Article 17 of the Constitution of Pakistan and the Industrial Relations Act (IRA), workers have the fundamental constitutional right to form or join trade unions for collective bargaining.
